With the Trump administration’s plan to reduce RIN prices expected to be released at any moment, it was timely that the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) saw its first trade of the D6 ethanol RINs futures contract. On 21 May, the exchange offered a monthly cash-settled future based on the OPIS daily assessment price. According to the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS), the contract traded twice today at 20 cents. There was one transaction of nine lots and another of a single lot. A contract is 50,000 RINs.
