Congress returns tomorrow after its Thanksgiving holiday break to face a long list of issues and the time pressurs of finalizing government funding bills. Following is what is on the “To Do” list. Four appropriations bills, including the Agriculture and FDA appropriations, must be passed by January 19th. Complicating that task, in the Senate, Democrat leaders are pushing for an additional, stand alone, $1 billion emergency funding bill for the Woman, Infants and Children’s program to increase benefits for new participants before the appropriations bill is passed by January.
