It is midterm Election Day in the U.S., and the antipathy between Trump supporters and haters is generating more than the usual interest. Whatever the results may be, the campaign has emphasized the wide chasm that exists between the two sides. On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
