GOOD MORNING, The markets were extremely overbought with beans running out of gas to the upside yesterday. The strong bullish reaction to the Jan. WASDE now puts the acreage fight for 2021 in full view, and perhaps the mission of the corn market was to make a stronger showing in lieu of lofty bean values. Slightly weaker spreads imply that US farmers liked this week's prices, and took the rally to get something on the books. Funds kicked up trading ranges with their buying activity, but it remains a bit troubling for the bean market bull that open interest has not grown in that market. On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
