Russian Grain Markets: 13 – 17 January 2025 Last week, the market woke up from the prolonged Christmas holidays and surprisingly remained bullish against a stable export trend and high export duties. Growing duties may nip the bullish trend in the bud. Russian wheat can now freely go into Kazakhstan as the ban is lifted but will that help prices grow in the near term? Geographically, only a fraction of wheat will go to Kazakhstan and this will be wheat from the Asian part of Russia predominantly and will have no major effect on the overall situation in country as the wheat market sticks to global demand.
