The Russian Statistics Agency reported that wheat production in Russia during 2024 totalled 82.6 MMT, down 11 percent from last year. Russian analysts forecast 2025 production of wheat even lower, losing another 4.7 percent, totalling only 78.7 MMT. On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
