Russian Grain Markets: 18-22 April 2022 The Russian Ministry of Agriculture reported that the first 3.5 Mha of spring crops have been planted out of 53.6 Mha forecast. This year’s planting pace is in line with past year’s and around 12 Mha of winter wheat has been fertilized. An estimated 19 Mha of winter crop are in good condition which accounts for 97 percent which is better than last year. The Ministry expects that the cropped area in 2022 will reach 81.3 Mha which is almost 1 Mha up from last year.
