Russian Grain Markets: 17-21 May 2021 Russian domestic grain markets did not see any major price shifts, and although the market continued to show bullish sentiments such bullish dynamics are not that dramatic. Rye and peas trading slowed down and therefore prices slowly but steadily rolled down. Domestic markets’ bullish behavior looks rather strange against world grain market bearish moves let alone local currency appreciation. It may be the bullish trend is about finished with one key reason being the beginning of a new marketing season, which in some countries begins in June. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
