Livestock U.S. Beef Exports Continue on Record Run When 2020 finally comes to an end, it will likely be remembered as the year when U.S. beef and beef products firmly reestablished their presence in the China market. In May, a total of 1,670.6 MT left U.S. ports for the Middle Kingdom with a total value of $13.19 million. Since the reopening of the market in summer of 2017, May’s monthly figures marked the second best month and the highest since last December. Through the first five months of 2020, total beef and beef product exports to China have amounted to 4,925.6 MT worth $38.90 million.
