Livestock Newly Released Data Shows Live Hog Output By Province By the end of last week, all provinces across China finished reporting their live hog output for the first half of 2021. The national live hog output through June is now estimated at 370 million head. The following table lists those provinces with output of 10 million head or more, representing 68 percent of the national total. The top three (Hunan, Henan, and Sichuan) have produced a a combined 88.8 million head or nearly 24 percent of the country’s output. Hubei and Jiangsu are the top two in terms of year-on-year growth, as production has increased in these two provinces by 81 percent and 74.6 percent, respectively.
