Macro Trends U.S. Ag Exports to China at Lowest Total Since 2011 Through July, data from USDA’s Global Agricultural Trade System (GATS) show a total volume of 12.69 MMT of agricultural products worth $6.61 billion. This compares to a total of 13.45 MMT with a value of $7.22 billion for the first seven months of 2018. The all-time mark in terms of volume occurred in 2015, when U.S. exporters sent 20.56 MMT of agricultural products to China’s ports. The record for total value for the first seven months of the year occurred in 2012 when U.S. ag exports to China amounted to $12.32 billion.
