Post-midterm election, pre-WASDE commodity trading lacked the excitement of last night’s newscasts. Grains were flat/lower while the livestock complex remained mixed with hogs gaining on cattle. Grain futrues should have gotten a boost from the U.S. dollar’s drop today but the anticipation of tomorrow’s WASDE overrode any macroeconomic impacts.
