A week from today, 28 March, USDA will release its quarterly estimate of grain and soybean stocks as of 1 March, along with its report on the initial spring planting intentions of U.S. farmers. U.S. supplies of corn and soybeans being very tight has been so discussed to death that the market is tired of it. It has become very old news, yet the topic is inescapable. It has been and will continue to be a dominating factor for the market until large new crops are assured.
