Yesterday the House passed a stopgap spending bill, which includes expanded funding for farm loans, and now the Senate has until midnight to avert a shutdown.The U.S. House of Representatives passed a FY 2017 continuing resolution (CR) yesterday by a vote of 326 to 96. Republicans supported the measure 208 to 33 with Democrats voting 118 in favor versus 63 against. The measure will fund the government for approximately four months until 29 April 2017.
