The Courts have handed another blow to biofuel producers. On Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit struck down the Trump Administration's EPA decision to provide a waiver for year-round E15 sales. This comes on the heels of the Supreme Court ruling on the extension of SRE waivers. Corn markets reacted to Friday’s decision. On 31 May 2019, EPA granted a year-round waver for E15 use; previously E15 was restricted from 1 June - 15 September. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
