Canola oil, processed through transesterification has been approved as a feedstock for fatty acid methyl-ester (FAME) biodiesel since 2010. The new pathway is for canola oil as renewable diesel, jet fuel, naphtha, LPG, or heating oil via a hydrotreating process.
