Regional News On 20 February, Germany confirmed its first case of Newcastle disease in 18 years, after a commercial turkey flock in Neißemünde was found to be infected. Separately, Poland had two new flocks confirmed as being infected with the disease, as the country continues to battle outbreaks that started in September 2024. Europe’s egg shortage continues, with German sources saying supplies are tight and prices are starting to rise. Consumer demand has not decreased much amid the price increase, but reports of bare shelves and greater switching between products are surfacing.
