Regional News Some winter crops have broken dormancy across France, though the pattern has been spotty so far. Conditions in the south have been favorable for wheat entering the vegetative stage while crops in the central and northern portions of the country are mostly still dormant. Scattered showers are expected this week that will benefit crops in most regions. Precipitation across western/central Europe has decreased in the last two weeks which is putting most of France and Germany in a mild drought. Fortunately, temperatures are expected to remain at or below normal for the next week, which will help limit draws on soil moisture.
