Both houses of Congress were back in session last week; the House is scheduled to be in until 30 September and the Senate until 26 September. Congress will then break for October, leading up to the November elections. That means there are less than six days of votes left before the recess. Note, Congress will recess – but not adjourn – at the end of the month, implying there will be a lame duck session after the elections.
