India's Food Grain Production to Jump India may witness another record food production in 2011/12 amid favorable weather, especially in the wheat growing areas. The food grain production could touch an all-time high of 250.42 MMT against last year's 244.78 MMT. The major gainers are wheat and rice. Production of wheat is estimated at 88.31 MMT against last year's 86.87 MMT, while rice production is estimated at 102.75 MMT against last year's 95.98 MMT.
