Lake Geneva Switzerland officially notified the WTO today that it will formally agree to the agreement on fisheries subsidies. WTO Director General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala immediately pronounced that Switzerland’s acceptance will spur “real momentum” toward widespread adoption. The fisheries agreement addresses ocean sustainability. Switzerland is a land-locked mountainous country.
