Most notably, the report found 2.114 billion bushels in storage on 1 September, far less than the 2.4 billion the market expected. Similarly, the 913 million bushels (mbu) of soybeans in storage was below the market estimate of 982 and well below the psychologically important 1-billion-bushel mark.
