Corn and wheat were a penny or so lower with soybeans down 4-5 cents, which all tracked with expectations of a bearish report. When the report came out at noon (EDT) today, the immediate conclusion was that USDA’s fresh estimates were bullish or, more accurately, not nearly as bearish as feared. Futures prices quickly moved into a relief rally that at its peak had corn trading up 10 cents and soybeans up 12 cents with both Chicago and KC wheat 10.5 cents higher.
