Price action in overnight trading and again during the day session can best be described as dull. Volume was low, and price movement was subdued. The corn market managed to trade a 3-cent range on both sides of Tuesday’s close before the December contract settled down a penny with most deferred months three-quarters of a cent lower. The most that can be said about the corn futures market is that its upward chart trend remains intact and in line with its seasonal tendency. Corn harvesting should become widespread by this weekend with rapid progress next week under favorably dry conditions throughout the Midwest.
