General Comments Markets were quiet overnight but started to pick up steam this morning when world financial markets rallied sharply higher. The rally in financial markets came following the release of the U.S. July jobs data. The unemployment rate actually rose 0.1 percent to 8.3 percent, but the report said the economy created 163,000 jobs in the month of July. That was well above expectations and compares to a loss of jobs in June. Crude oil also took off sharply higher on the better economic outlook and was trading more than $4 a barrel higher and above $91 in the September Globex contract.
