General Comments Today was a very strange trading day for a number of reasons:
The superstorm now blitzing the East Coast has closed most of the government in Washington, DC. USDA was mostly closed. The weekly Export Inspections report was released, but the weekly Crop Progress report will not be released. Odds are high Washington might also be closed tomorrow. The New York financial markets were closed today and will be closed again tomorrow. The CME has traded normally, although trading volume today was light and that will probably be the case again tomorrow.
