General Comments Grain and oilseed markets ignored the collapse in metals and energy prices last Friday, but they didn't ignore it today. Gold got crushed again today, with futures down more than $130 an ounce at midmorning and trading below $1,370 an ounce. That is more than a $200 an ounce loss in just two trading days. Silver was down more than $3 an ounce and trading below $24 an ounce. Crude oil also was pummeled today, trading down more than $3 a barrel.
