Markets were weaker to start the Sunday evening session, and that negative trading pattern persisted throughout today. As another analyst wrote, the market is starving for news of any kind. China talk continues to dominate the markets’ attitude and direction. There was more chatter over the weekend that a U.S.-China deal might not be announced until April or as late as June. The only certainty is that such an announcement will be made when it is the most beneficial to both countries politically. It was also quiet across the U.S. equities markets today. They were slightly higher, but there was no excitement. Crude oil and the U.S. dollar were also up slightly.
