President Trump declared that beginning tomorrow (Friday), he would impose tariffs on steel (25 percent) and aluminum (10 percent) imports from Mexico, Canada and the EU that were earlier postponed to facilitate trade negotiations. Those three countries immediately announced that they would retaliate with tariffs on goods imported from the U.S., including a number of agricultural products.
