The bell to start the next round of the escalating U.S. trade scuffle with China rang late last evening with news that the Trump administration is preparing a new list of $200 billion worth of imported goods from there, which it proposes to subject to a 10 percent tariff. The list will be published for public comment with the objective of having these new tariffs in place by the end of August.
