Bears tried to push the soy complex and corn lower in Tuesday’s early trade as they hoped for a correction following Monday’s rally. That was not to be, however, as the soy complex found strong buying interest from ongoing soymeal demand and sharp gains in Malaysian palm oil that pulled soyoil higher too. Corn futures benefitted from soybeans’ rally and though gains were limited, the higher close bodes well for Monday’s lows likely forming the seasonal lows. Macroeconomic markets also supported CBOT trade as better-than-expected inflation reading pushed the U.S. dollar lower and offered a more positive economic backdrop for commodity demand.
