CME grain and soy complex futures traded both sides early during the overnight session, but they gradually drifted slightly lower as trading volume declined during the early morning hours. That weakness deepened during the first hours of the day session. Chicago and KC wheat prices dipped a nickel below Wednesday’s closes, corn prices slipped about 3 cents, and soybean prices were down as much as 9 cents at one point. However, prices across the board gradually recovered most of those losses. They finished the day still in the red, but the losses were mostly limited to 2 cents or less.
