The U.S. government did partially shut down at midnight (EST) Friday night, but Congress then reached an agreement today to extend government funding through 8 February. This Washington problem didn’t have any apparent impact on the markets today despite the closure of most government offices. USDA did release the weekly export inspections data (see chart below).
