Grains Wheat According to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, 87 percent of the expected wheat area has been planted, currently covering 6 Mha (compared to 6.3 Mha in the previous season). In contrast, the Rosario Grain Exchange estimates 5.4 Mha of seeded area (compared to 5.9 Mha in the previous season) and a production of 15.6 MMT (MMT). In either case, both figures represent a significant reduction in planted area. Production, however, is expected to increase year-over-year, considering that the previous season was a failure with a harvest of only 11.5 MMT. Infrastructure investment due diligence
On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
