In previous reports we mentioned that nearby demand was mostly covered; however, interest in the spot market suddenly appeared. During the past few days, several trades were reported for May shipment. At least 250,000 MT of trades were heard in the FOB market, and there is further demand.At the end of last week, the market traded at -33 CN and -29 CN for Upriver. On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
