Wheat January saw improvements in logistics and trucks arriving to upriver ports so the vessel lineup ended slightly above December at 1.5 MMT. South ports are facing a different situation, however, as independent truck drivers are still blocking access to the Necochea and Bahia Blanca terminals and wheat is mostly arriving via train. For the months, 1.1 MMT was loaded at upriver ports and just 0.4 MMT from south ports. The volume loaded in south ports typically starts increasing in January.
