China secured additional cargoes of U.S. soybeans for October and November positions while also buying Brazilian vessels for the 2021 campaign. Brazil is out of the market for 2020 and, in fact, there were several “washouts” with Chinese crushers selling Brazilian soybeans and buying back from the U.S. While Brazil is worth 250X, the U.S. Gulf is trading around 220-225X.
