Regional Updates MEDITERRANEAN/MIDDLE EAST/NORTH AFRICA/AFRICA – MEA REGION Egypt has announced that Abu Dhabi Ports Group will build a multipurpose shipping terminal in Ain Sokhna Port on the west side of the Gulf of Suez. Ain Sokhna will shortly be connected by a rail network to the Mediterranean --- Ain Sokhna is about 400 miles south of the Mediterranean. The new rail line will be used for both passengers and cargo. Egyptian authorities have decided that all wheat farmers in the country must sell a share of their wheat crop to the government.
