Regional Updates MEDITERRANEAN/MIDDLE EAST/NORTH AFRICA/AFRICA – MEA REGION Pakistan’s government will be selling 120,000 MT of wheat to the World Food Program (WFP) for the WFP’s Afghanistan relief program. The wheat supplied is expected to be imported wheat milled in Pakistan and sent as flour to Afghanistan. Pakistan’s ban on wheat flour exports will be lifted for these shipments. Tunisia is doing its very best to increase the production of wheat in the country to try to reduce its dependance on imported wheat. Infrastructure investment due diligence
On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
