Another 60,000 MT are reported to be in Chabahar, the first lot of an estimated 1.1 MMT destined for various locations in Afghanistan. The initial shipment was greeted in Kabul by the agriculture ministry and the Indian embassy’s deputy chief of mission. Also in Afghanistan, the government has announced plans to build five wheat storage facilities with a total capacity of more than 150,000 MT.
