E15-approved vehicles are increasing, while E15-capable flex fuel vehicles (FFVs) are decreasing according to a recent study by the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA). According to RFA’s survey of manufacturers’ owners’ manuals for automakers responsible for 95 percent of all cars on U.S. roads, more than 83 percent of all 2020 models are E15 approved. That’s up from 17 percent in 2012.
As for E85, only Ford and General Motors are offering FFVs capable of using E85 in model year 2020.
