Two weeks ago, EPA increased the blending requirement for ethanol and biodiesel under its supplemental small refinery exemption (SRE) proposal. More changes, and potentially additional volumes of biofuels, are likely in the new year. EPA has pulled its proposed RFS re-set proposal from OMB, which was sent for review back on 20 May, and will start that process over. The rule was expected to be proposed officially in February 2020. The reset rule was already years late.
