Argentina Raises Biodiesel Blend Requirement The government of Argentina announced that effective 1 June, the percentage of biodiesel required to be blended with petro diesel in the country will rise from 7 percent to 10 percent. The increase is expected to raise domestic consumption to about 1.3 MMT (about 387 million gallons).The Argentine government suggested that the increase is needed to offset the loss of diesel output at a refinery in La Plata that caught fire this month.
