The Brazilian government's effort to re-evaluate 14 pesticides for possible bans has been ongoing for seven years and stymied by lawsuits as well as opposition from legislators. Two of those currently employed by farmers there are no longer approved for usage in the U.S. and elsewhere because of their toxicity. U.S. Soybean Export Sales Shift to New Crop Today's USDA export sales report showed a pronounced shift in sales away from the current marketing year to MY 2015/16. Net sales of soybeans for shipment in 2014/15 totaled only 27,400 MT, while those for shipment after 1 September totaled 568,300 MT. Infrastructure investment due diligence
On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
