The average forecast of analysts queried by Reuters is for Brazil to produce a record 103.1 MMT of soybeans in 2017. This is clearly a possibility if the country has good weather in the growing season. However, it is far from being a certainty for several reasons. Canadian Canola Stocks Larger Than Expected Statistics Canada yesterday released its 31 July crop stocks report, which had canola stocks at 2 MMT, 27 percent below the total as of the same date a year ago. On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
