The markets are bullish and global food prices are rising but stocks of wheat, corn, and soybeans are ample. Over the past 40 years, the world’s population has increased by 70 percent. On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
