India Trade The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is reporting that progress is being made in trade negotiations with the U.S. and details could be forthcoming within a couple of weeks. In fact, India is stepping up their trade agenda across the board. India moved this week on a trade agreement with Finland, as well as reviewing agreements with Japan and Korea. The Korean negotiations began three years ago and are now being fast tracked. Further, a joint working group has been formed to identify issues for a potential Japan agreement. WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
