Arizona has a number of packing sheds and other operations that rely on imports, and Flake had placed the hold to stop the USTR proposal for a seasonal adjustment for specialty crops within the NAFTA renegotiations. On behalf of a private U.S. agricultural technology provider, WPI’s team generated an econometric model to forecast the movement of concentrated corn production north and west from the traditional U.S. Corn Belt.
