ADM is making a move to acquire GrainCorp, Ltd., the major grain handler in eastern Australia. It was reported last week that ADM had increased its stake from 4.9 percent to 14.9 percent. Today the press was full of news about an attempt to buy the entire company for about $2.77 billion.
