USDA reported that planting of the U.S 2013/14 corn crop was only 12 percent complete as of 5 May, which is the second slowest corn planting pace on record. As shaky a start as that may be, the forecast for warm, dry weather across the Corn Belt next week provides hope that corn planting progress will advance enough to support the anticipation of a very big crop. Weighing in on strategic realignment
WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
